Two Spot Gobi ::: An Oscar Night Tie-In
Music Genre: Alternative | Soul | Pop
By: Josh East
It looks like the band Two Spot Gobi is taking off on another great start this year. After confirming more UK tour dates in support of Jason Mraz along his European tour, the band has also been confirmed to perform at the 1st Annual Leeza Gibbons Oscar Night @ Mr. Chow. With Gibson providing the backline for Two Spot Gobi at this event and Channel M shooting their live performance for a range of retail television networks and original music programming, on top of being broadcasted live via webcast on ExtraTV.com, Glam.com and Variety.com, the Gobi’s continue to make a mark for themselves as true emerging indies making noise.
The Gobi’s first full-length release titled ‘Everywhere You Should Have Been” debuts today, Tuesday, February 17th, with much anticipation surrounding the record that features a catalogue of diverse, yet cohesive amalgam of their constantly evolving sound. The eclectic touch of trumpet and cello gives this release a mind of its own.
